Freddy Cardoza serves as Chair of the Department of Christian Education at Talbot School of Theology and Biola University. He oversees the department’s faculty and academic degree programs (B.A., M.A., Ed.D., Ph.D.), in addition to other responsibilities in the university at large. Freddy is also the Executive Director of the Society of Professors in Christian Education (SPCE, formerly NAPCE). SPCE is an organization representing some 200 institutions of higher learning having academic educational ministry programs. Freddy does additional speaking, consulting, teaching, and audio-visual studio work. He has been married to his wife Kristy since 1993 and they have two grown children, Dakota and Christian.

My Digital Media
Digital Media includes websites or applications (apps) that primarily host “content.” They are usually focused on sharing information– be it by sharing slides (SlideShare), blogs (WordPress), video blogs (YouTube, Vimeo), and so on. Digital Media is different than Social Media because social media primarily exists for basic interpersonal “communication” more than content. Social Media focuses on interconnectedness rather than primarily on inculcating information.
My Social Media
Social Media includes websites or applications (apps) whose primary purpose is “communication.” These sources are usually different delivery methods for sharing moment-by-moment events in our lives rather than transferring large amounts of information for systematic learning like Digital Media. Social Media is primarily “social,” meaning it’s especially used for socializing and getting in contact with others rather than transferring content.
